New here!
it’s a 69 and appears to be one of the few ZL1s produced. Unfortunately, I don’t have any fool proof evidence of that.
It was parked for a long time before I got it. Originally sold at Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara, CA. Build date of Dec. 13th ‘68. Looks to be original white paint with Gunmetal interior.
it does have the correct 052 aluminum block with the correct MG suffix code. Can’t find any VIN anywhere on the block. Th400 trans and 3.36 posi. It also has the J56 brakes and radio delete.
when I got it, we had the seats recovered and carpet done. The rest is original. Also had to do the fuel system and brakes to make it road worthy again.
while changing the tank, I did find the tank stick, but pretty much destroyed. I can read that it is a true 427 car, but the option code is illegible.
I’ve learned a lot about the ZL1s from reading on this forum so I decided to join.
thanks
David.

The Corvette Black Book says only 2 ZL1s were made in model year 1969, one with a manual tranny and one with an automatic. 427 cu. in. engine with 430 HP.
yes, but I’ve heard so many different thoughts on the production #s. Only two were known To be built but I’ve heard as many as 7. I believe I read that on this forum somewhere.
