Default 1970 Corvette Introduction

Hello Corvette Fourms,

This is my first post. Long time user on Lightningrodder.com and Svtperformance.com (The dark side).

I grew up in a Corvette family with my father having two 1970 Corvettes. He was always dragging me around the rows at Corvettes at Carisle looking for those perfect parts to complete his collection of what he probably already had 5 of back at home.

He wasn't able to take advantage of his Corvettes in retirement as he had always planned prior to passing early last year. The judging, part #s and originality game was something he was always passionate about.

I've considered trying to have the cars rejudged since their previous achievements were in the late 80s/early 90s. The cars have been largely sitting since then so would need some TLC before being ready to put back on a show field.

With a career and time consuming hobbies of my own, I think the best next steps will be for me to allow someone else to enjoy the cars as my family has. Or the parts to maybe finish a passion project of their own.

I've included two of my personal favorites photos (very 80s) when we lived in Atlanta. I'm the baby next to the silver car. My sister always preferred the white car ha!

I look forward to being a part of the fourms.

Thank you,

Colin P. Smith

Welcome aboard and hope whatever decision you make on your family’s Corvettes works out.

Welcome to the forum. If you ultimately decide to proceed with the sale of either the cars, the parts, or both, the C3 for sale sections would be the place to list them.

Thanks guys!

I was just scrolling through there and it looks like a great venue. Alot of the performance parts/race car stuff has moved over to Facebook marketplace on the forums I'm usually on so good to see here.

Thanks guys! My first order of business when I sink my teeth into this is I have a tank sticker for a red big block car. Not sure why but I'm sure someone needs that around here. Will post pictures at some point.
