My name is Chris. I've owned a 2011 Cayman with the PDK for the last couple years. A couple months ago I decided it was time for an upgrade. I was looking at 718 Caymans and C8s and couldn't make up my mind. Someone at work even let me drive his C8 to see if I would be interested. Last week I was checking all the sites and found a car with almost the exact specs I had wanted. I flew from San Jose to LA on Saturday morning. I bought the car and was on the road home by 11AM.
My C8 (that has a nice ring to it) is Rapid Blue with a black interior, 2LT, Z51 with Magnetic Ride, Front Lift, and the GT2 seats. On top of that the PO had ordered the visible carbon fiber front grill, mirror caps, interior trim and engine appearance package, red engine cover, black trident wheels and tension blue seat belts. I'm really excited about it. Yesterday my wife and I drove 75 miles down the coast to Napenthe in Big Sur for lunch. I'm sure we'll be making that trip on a regular basis.
This car rides so much nicer, is much quieter and more comfortable than my Cayman. It also has roughly 2x the horsepower and torque in every gear. Holy smokes it's fast.
Anyway, I plan to drive it daily and put 5-6 track days a year on it. I'm already looking for everything I need to track it. I averaged about 1000 miles a month on the Cayman.
