Hi my name is Paul and I just purchased a 1989 c4 all stock the first thing I’m doing is a tranny fluid filter and oil change within the next couple of hours.
Thank you to the few that welcomed me. I will have to follow up with photos most link in the next few days. I don’t get a chance to do my oil and filter change to the tranny. Other home issues interfered! Anyways I wanted to address my hard starting and with research I’ve discovered I may have a bad coolant temp sensor. I put a crankcase oil heater in the meantime and it started wonderful. So im aiming to replace it. Also my throttle position sensor was replaced by the previous owner and it’s just sitting there unattached due to the original mounting screws broken off in place. I see the body holding in the screws is aluminum and the screws are standard stock and made of metal. What on earth was the engineering division thinking when they choose disimilar metals? Getting these out will be a task even with penetrating oil. So any and all thoughts are welcome.
