Hello from Maryland
So far I've just been learning the car (mostly the settings and technology) and called OnStar to tell them to turn EVERYTHING off. Now I have an annoying warning message on my head unit every time I start the car saying it can't connect to OnStar, but better than having my driving data being collected. Going to try to unplug the antenna and see if that makes it go away, probably not though. I also said I wanted to turn off the wifi hotspot from broadcasting at all, I'm in cyber security and having my car be its own wireless access point is CRAZY to me. I have to confirm that they were able to do that or at least make the password as long as possible and some gibberish if I can't disable it.
This is my first Corvette. It definitely seems like it will be a challenge to work on but that will keep me busy and I also have a good performance shop currently working on my Firebird. I need to order jack pads or lift pads first off, figure out where to put jack stands, and test my Summit Racing ramps to make sure I can back the car onto them without the front scraping. Car is due for a DCT filter change (26,000mi and it was due at 22,500mi) so I'll be doing that and probably oil since there's no reason to trust the dealership... Definitely need to pick up an electric ratchet and those inverted torx sockets.
