Hi,
I'm Paul, 73 years old and retired. This is the year that I decided it was time for me to give up riding motorcycles after more than 55 years. However, I'm not ready to give up toys entirely so I'm searching for a Sunny Summer Afternoon Ride.
I'm going to look at a 1990 Corvette, L98/6 speed manual on Wednesday. Pics look good, seller says it's low mileage and always garage kept so we shall see I guess.
I'm pretty knowledgeable about vehicles in general and a decent mechanic but I'm sure there are things peculiar to the Corvette that I'll need to know more about. I'll post a thread in the appropriate forum with questions.
Hey, Paul, come on in, the water’s fine! No, seriously, it’s freaking GREAT! If you haven’t yet done your research, do so now. Research costs, benefits, drawbacks, and nuances within each year of a few different generations. Find your baby and wrap yourself in a Corvette. Enjoy your search and let us know when you score!
Thanks. I've been looking for a while, but with a relatively limited budget and a manual transmission being mandatory, my choices have been pretty limited.
The '90 I'm going to look at looks good on paper, but you never know until you put the Mark I Eyeball on it.
