Hello all!
New guy posting for the first time. A little background. I’m a retired 61 year old,and I’m looking at Corvette options for my last “fun” car. I currently own a 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona with 54k miles. I’ve owned the car since 08’. I’m at a point where I want a final hurrah with a nice ride.
I’m liking 06-11 Z06. Lots of information about valve train stuff. I’ll read what I can read on that subject. Another possibility is a 14-18 c7 with a manual transmission. 17 is probably pushing my budget a bit,but I’ll be checking out reliability of the c7’s on these pages as well. To clarify,14-17’ c7 will not be a Z06.
Thanks for having me,
Ray

Welcome, Ray. A Corvette is an excellent choice to reward yourself with for retirement. I’d suggest researching prices for the models in which you are interested, so you know kind of what to center your search around. Also research colors, options, and potential issues. Then, you can make a list and start your search using those parameters. This Forum has a bunch of great members and contains a wealth of knowledge. Best of luck in your hunt and be sure to post some pictures when you make your big score!
