I’m a new member from Washington State with a 1982 automatic base model that’s been sitting in my backyard for 15 years. I have plans to upgrade the brakes, suspension, and try to get some more power out of the 350 while retaining the CFI system. I care the most about brakes and suspension and don’t want spend a ton of money/labor trying to get more power. Especially since the car is in relatively poor condition and not worth a ton. Otherwise I’d be swapping in a 383.
I’ve heard the early version of the 700r4 can be troublesome so I also plan to take mine to a shop to see if I can get it updated. Bodywork and paint to come after the car can drive well.
