Well, I'm back as a new member but originally joined in late 90's when I bought my first C5. Loved all the info found and bought lots of C5 parts from members. Bought a lot of C5's 97-04 low damaged and ins.theft recovery's C5's 97-04. Everything still available from GM then. That CHANGED! Between GM & this forum always found what I needed. Been going to Corvettes at Carlisle since C@C #2. It was only 1/2 of one row. Club members had cars at end then swap meet parts other end. I bought NOS parts for one of my 61's (33,000 & 73,000 miles) and my 67 427 435 coupe (19,487 actual miles). Quite a difference now. Back in 2005 my wife tried to get me to buy her a Millennium Yellow & black convertible. I somehow managed to not get it but it came up all the time. "Yeah like that Corvette you were going to get me". Well 25th anniversary coming up June and I ride buy this car lot & there her car sits with a ZL6 package emblem on it. Stopped ask how much he told me & said get in rode around the block and bought it. Put it on the car trailer I had with me. I thought how nice for a surprise 25th anniversary present. I got the surprise when I took it off trailer. No 3rd gear clutches. Most Corvette owners I've Known baby & hardly ever drive their cars then sell them when the new body style comes out. But I see when they get little old they become race cars or just abused. So here I am again looking for parts on the forum and as usual I found plenty of options. Now that I'm retired and have cut back to only working 18hrs a day. BIG difference is it's on my cars now. One 61 on rotisserie will be for sale when back together.
Thank You Corvette Forum for still being here
