I am a longtime Corvette aficionado who, if all goes right, will soon become Corvette owner. My uncle bought a '67 Vette in 1981. It's 427/390hp with 4-speed and everything is pretty well stock or OE replacement. I was 11 years old at that time and this car was my "first love". I used to wash it every time I visited, just so I could I could touch it! Life has its ups and downs, and while my uncle never sold the car, he hasn't driven it (or actively maintained it) very much over the last 20 years. As you can probably guess, he recently offered to sell me the car and I said "yes", sight unseen.
The Vette means the world to me and getting her back in shape is going to be a journey, so I was looking for an active and knowledgeable community where I can learn the ins-and-outs of the Vette from people who are not trying to sell me something.
I'm not coming to this as a novice. I have a Mopar ('66 Plymouth Satellite) that I have playing around with for the last 5 years and I the only thing I have not taken apart and put back together is the engine (it was a fresh rebuild when I bought the car). The Vette will be a very different project and I'm sure that there will be lots of new challenges, but I'm up for it.

If it wasn't for my Uncle I might not even have mine. He had a buddy with a '63 Split who took me for a ride when I was 12 & the rest is history.
I'm still the original owner of my '76 & keeping it in the family has now become a big deal.
Congrats & welcome to the forum..
