New C4 member from CT
I started looking for C4 and C5 convertibles, and almost immediately I found a really nice C4 convertible in my state in the color, GM Competition yellow, and with the options I wanted. I almost didn't have enough time to really research the differences between the C3, C4, and C5 convertibles. But it worked out very well. Especially because the prices are a fraction of C3 chrome bumper convertibles or C5 convertibles.
Though this is my 1st Corvette, I've been a car guy my whole life. I'm looking for some odds and end part which have been discontinued (I get it, the car is 30 years old). I may even do a major engine change in the future. No, not a LS swap, something in line with keeping the car period correct, but a good increase in HP, and rpm.
The day I bought the C4. 1st thing, to the tire shop to get new tires and an alignment, then drove it 60 miles home.
The LT1 has been performing well up to this point, but there's always that idea in the back of my head ringing away... We'll see.
For now, I'm trying to do a little maintenance, replace some dried up molding, give the car a little love, and do some local car shows in the late summer/fall timeframe. So if anybody in the CT area know some great car shows where the Vettel show up in force, I'd like to be part of that! Please invite me! Thanks!

Also, how do you establish digital friends in this forum. I think it would be great to create a list of contacts that really give great advice, live near me, etc. And of course vice versa, I could help those that I think I can help as well, either on-line in the forum or in my physical garage.
Thanks in advance, Jim
