Good morning, I am new here and figured I would take the time to introduce myself per say. My name is John, and I joined this site to gather information on a C4 Corvette the wife and I bought for her boy. She is a nurse (Bread winner) and I am a Deputy (Not so bread winning). We came across a 1992, Black convertible C4 Corvette sitting in a field wasting away a couple years ago. We talked to the property owner who explained the car belonged to his father who had passed away a few years ago. The gentleman had no intentions of doing anything with the car and at the time it did not run due to the water pump being removed from the car. We came to an agreement and bought the car. We trailer it back to the house and make room in the garage for it. I figured it would be a great project to work on with him to show him the mechanics side of things which would hopefully he could use for the rest of his life. So, I am here to gather bits of information about these cars that I do not already know (My knowledge of the corvette is limited as I have never had one before.) I am no master mechanic by any means but have been known to turn a wrench or two under a shade tree. I spend a great deal of time on YouTube furthering my education as cars continue to change or things slip my mind with age. Thank you for any help provided and knowledge given.
