Good evening all!
I purchased a 1972 base model 350 4 speed about 2 weeks ago. I've known the car for about 2 years. It was my friends father in laws car. It seems to have all the factory parts, except the carb. Some butchering took place for sure but not anything that can't easily be returned to stock. He wasn't necessarily a "car guy" and i don't think the prior owner was either. Stacking things on the car as it sat in the garage. Using as a coffee table for beer cans while hanging in the garage....... anyway......I've found myself on this site about 58 times in the last few weeks and decided this car is going to be with me for some time so I may as well join! I look forward to all the education I'm going to receive from everyone and I hope at some point i can give back. I am a tool and die maker (machinist) so I enjoy how things work and like them to be correct. Which also means I'm slow! Lol! The car was Ontario orange but was repainted, atomic orange perhaps? Again, I plan on this being my 1 and only corvette as it is the last year of the great ones.
Welcome, congratulations, and best wishes getting your new baby up to your standards. The Forum will be a great place to get any needed knowledge about your new Corvette. Exciting times.
