Hello everyone, my name is Scott and I just bought a 2000, Pewter Vette. Completely stock with 28K miles. I have owned a 78 Firebird, 81Trans Am, 70 Charger, 72 Mustang, 84 Mustang GT, 98 Mustang GT, 68 T Bird and now a Corvette. I've always wanted one, but the allure of the Mustang kept me content. I sold the Mustang last year and decided it was time. These forums are great for information on everything, I've been a member of the Fury Forum for about 10 years and I am sure this one is just as good.
Like you I too had other performance cars but when I bought my first Vette a used 1996 it blew away all of them. From that point on I became a Vette guy and have now owned 5. How GM pulls it off at the price point is amazing. Every Vette I owned held its values and every 4 years I added some $$$ until I finally bought a new 2019 Grand Sport. I bought a new 2023 and it rose the bar to the elite sports cars in the world.
Thanks. I really do like the car, as a matter of fact, I think my wife was more excited about it than I was. This isn't giving me the option to "like" comments anymore.
Sounds like you've had an incredible lineup of muscle and performance cars over the years—each one with its own unique character. That Pewter 2000 Corvette with just 28K miles is a fantastic find, and I’m sure you’re going to love every minute behind the wheel. The transition from Mustangs to a Vette is a big step, but there’s nothing quite like the balance of power, handling, and style that the C5 offers.
This forum is packed with great info, knowledgeable members, and plenty of enthusiasts who share your passion. Whether you're looking for maintenance tips, performance upgrades, or just want to talk shop, you've come to the right place.
Looking forward to hearing more about your Corvette journey—welcome aboard!

Thanks. It is a different feeling driving the Vette, however I still have the soft spot for my mustang.
