Finally a C4 owner!!
Hi all,
I am the proud owner of a new to me, 1995 Polo Green Coupe. After lurking on the forums for a little over seven years, I finally got to a point where I could obtain my dream Corvette!
I've had it for a little over four weeks now, and I absolutely love it. I bought it from a private party, with 23,200 original miles, original owner's manual, and some paperwork. (The guy bought it, drove it less than 1,500 miles, then sold it to me about a year and a half later!)
Slowly, I've been piecing together the history of this car, and the CarFax is pretty wild. I am the 7th(!) owner of this beautiful car, and from the looks of the CarFax and the paperwork I got with it, this is the real odometer reading. I believe it was originally sold at Wilson County Motors in Lebanon, TN.
I've already started doing some small stuff to it, because as you may know, a 30 year old car with this low of mileage still has a lot of original consumable parts that definitely need to be replaced. It's already done a ~200 mile road trip, and I averaged about 21mpg! The fuel vapor line in the fuel tank is clogged, so I plan on blowing the line out going from the rear to the front of the car, and maybe I'll get a MPG or two more.
I look forward to getting more involved with the forum and community, and I have already been doing a ton of reading on the forum on different tech tips and fixes that I'll definitely have to do on my Corvette down the line. It's supposed to be warm and sunny this week in the Midwest, so I'll be sure to post some pictures later this week.
