Proud owner of a 1971 and 2009 Corvette, thanks for having me here. The 2009 I have owned sine 2017 and it has been a very reliable car (thus just joining now) and the 1971 I have known my whole life (my uncle bought it new in 1971) and I am now the caretaker of it as of last summer when my uncle lost his battle with cancer.
The 2009 is a base black on red Z51 equipped 6spd convertible that has had a Livernois Motorsports built LS3 based 7.0L V8 added. Makes 550hp to the wheels with the supporting heads, cam, intake, long tubes, and Corsa exhaust. Great car, love driving it!
The 1971 is Ontario Orange on Dark Saddle. It's a base small block 4spd car with PS, PB, AM/FM, Tilt/Telescoping wheel and I have all paperwork since new. She's not perfect and it needs a bit of work but it's a great driver and a car filled with memories including learning how to drive standard with my uncle in the passenger seat as well as myself in the passenger seat and my two brothers in the cubby behind the seats as my dad power shifted the car down a paved side road in the 80's.
Anyway, look forward to sharing my wisdom when I can and for getting yours. I think with the 71 especially, I'll need it!
