I am brand new to the Corvette world so I decided to start off with a C5. All I can say is “WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG?!?” It took me about 6 months of searching for the one that just stood out to me & this one was it! It has 78k miles on it, automatic with 3.15 gears in the rear, gray interior & solid targa top. The seller didn’t have the glass top unfortunately, so I am looking forward one!
This C5 came with the F55 suspension but it has been replaced with traditional shocks once it began to sag. After researching original shocks, I can see why…yikes! Now I’m waiting on the terminals to plug in to the magnetic shock wires so I can get rid of the “80 mph max speed” warning light.
Not sure what other mods to do at the moment but I am here to learn from all of you seasoned Corvette owners!
Very nice Vette! Welcome to the forum. On the F55 delete, I have heard it is better to get it tuned out of the computer altogether. I have seen threads on here where those are not only costly but can burn out and need replacing. Good luck with the new to you ride!
