Quick introduction. Located in Dallas and beginning the search for a nice 1969-72 C3. Trying to stay open to all areas of the country, though, as far as looking for cars and will travel to see one if it looks like a good fit. Thanks to this great group of folks have already met with a few good resources, learning what we should be looking for and staying away from when searching through pictures of these great classic cars. The Corvette bug hit pretty hard recently. We've been watching the Barrett-Jackson and Mecum auctions on TV with our little guys (six-year-old is the car guy) and then after seeing a later model C3 in a hangar at the airport really solidified the desire to start looking for my own. Looking forward to learning a lot and finding the right C3 for us!
Hi, Bryan, and welcome. Best of luck in your quest. I think it wise that you are casting a wide net. I live in the same area as you and I almost got a car from Montana and ended up with a Florida car. Hopefully, you will find a sound one in your own back yard, but you never know. There are some places locally that you may be able to get some good solid leads from. Learn all about the chrome bumper C3s — and the Forum is a good place to do so — so you know what things to look for that you want and what things to beware of.
My right seater is pretty particular! Very happy though that I've got him liking the older Corvettes when at first he was strictly a new super car kind of guy. Took him over to a local shop to talk about C3's and said that the cars all sounded "sick"! He also already has come up with his own list of 10 thinks to consider when buying a C3. Fun search when the 6-yr old is into it also!

Thanks! Yes, so far am looking at cars coast to coast but hoping a few nice ones might pop right in D/FW. Learning a lot more about these cars each and every day also, which is a lot of fun.
