I am a new member of the Corvette Forum. I retired May 29, 2025 and moved to North Las Vegas the 2nd week of June. I recently bought my 2nd and 3rd Covette's. My 1st was a 1974 Stingray which I bought in 1979 while in the Army in El Paso, TX. I owned that car until 1999. I was working in Japan as a contractor from 1992-1999. In 1999 I transferred to England, and sold the car before I left Japan. I was without a Corvette until Oct. of this year when I bought a 1958 Vette. She was a real beauty. I called her Snow White. She had undergone a Concours Restoration around 2005-2006. In 2006 she was bought at a Barrett-Jackson action in FL. Between then and 2025 when I bought her she was only driven about 525 miles. I put 200 miles on her in about 2 weeks. But decided she was too nice to be driven like I wanted to do. Plus with no power steering, drum brakes and no AC, she was not going to do well in the Las Vegas heat. So after only owning her for about a month I sold her. I then bought my current Vette, a 2017 Z06 3LT w/Z07 performance package, in Long Beach Red with a Spice Red interior.
Welcome to the Forum as well as retirement! Sounds as if you have moved from a classic beauty that was easier to look at than live with to a modern beauty that is both easy on the eyes and easy to live with. Hope you enjoy retirement with your C7!
