Default Local paint shop

I am tired of looking at the pitted front bumper on my Z and headlight covers. I need a recommendation for a good paint shop in the north metro area. Someone that might be able to do some custom wrk if I get a wild hair. Would like to get the work done before springtime gets here.

Call Dragon Race Engineering 303-438-1571, he is working on mine as we speak. Same issue, plus some scratches, and polishing. Lonnie, the paint guy, is great, and he is doing my repairs for labor only..... which is cheaper this month due to the time of year. I think prices go back up sometime in March, so it would be a good time to do it.

Give Jarod a call at Motorsports Concepts (303) 286-9498, I was just at his shop the other day. He has been busy, but he was saying it got a little slow the last week.

I'm just a lurker now... TJ, I see your car is down at MC right now. That had to be a painful little ordeal to come out and see your car all messed up like that! Barry was saying something about the insurance company not wanting to cover the flames?

Hey Timmy!

Yeah it pretty much sucked coming out and seeing it, then seeing it in the light was even worse. Sort of been thinking it was someone who just doesn't like anyone that has something better than them. Because it wasn't just a tap, unless they were drunk.

The insurance came through with more money for custom paint, Jarod said their estimate would cover the cost.

Still need to give the insurance co. a call after I get it back, to makes some changes the adjuster said to do, to make sure I don't have to hassle, if I ever have to take it in again.

WTF , I must have missed this. This is why I never park my ZO6 where I can’t see it. I hate to think what would happen if I caught someone damaging my property.

Wow. Sorry to this, especially about your car. I would almost say that I would rather have it happen to mine, but I won't - it would probably result in a total.

Parking lot damage? How bad?

Yeah come on TJ what happened? Where you stopped at a traffic light and a fight broke out in front of you with one of the guys getting thrown on your hood or what?

Hey Jamison... what's going on? You are going to have to go on one of these cruises soon, Lauren should be getting old enough to stay by herself isn't, she's getting close to 3 right?

Frank
That was that young guy Nick wasn't it? How's retirement?

Cristie and I went to the movies and when we came out.....

When we went in, I was parked away from all the other cars, it got busier than I thought it would and there were a few cars by us when we came out. Someone had hit the front drivers corner, all I could really see was the pop-up headlight was pretty much gone and the bumper scratched. Thought not too big of a deal, got home and the bumper wasn't scratched, it was busted through. And the very tip of the front quarter panel had the corner busted clean off, so that has to be replaced too. So the flames there have to be done, but also the door flames have to be redone because of having to blend in the quarter panel to the door.

$4k later, it should be as good as new!

She'll be 3 this summer. Almost old enough to babysit her little brother, I guess.

There isn't much time to spend with them after work and Angela deserves a break, so weekend extracurriculars are tough to fit in. I'm considering putting in an airbag cutoff so I won't have to wait so long to let them ride along, but that means I'd have to peel myself off the couch after the kids' bedtime.

Yes it was...Sorry to hear about the car. People are turds. That's one reason I'm not to concerned about getting mine repainted or getting the flaws and some custom work on it. At least I don't worry too much about parking it anywhere. Good luck and I hope it come out ok for ya

I took a piece of flying metal to the hood of my C6 yesterday afternoon.

I just called jarod, and am taking it by tomorrow for a housecall.

Thanks for putting this info up, guys.

Update:
I took the car in Tuesday, Jarod gave me the cost to repair, said it would be done Friday. So, Friday rolls around, Jarod calls promptly in the morning, says car will be ready @ lunchtime.

I go over, it looks perfect, pay the man, and drive away happy.

I love it when people do what they say they will, when they say they will, and for the price they say they will.

I highly recommend Jarod and Motorsport Concepts.

SVE Auto Body in Broomfield - I have brought around 5 cars there, and have referred a number of people. Very honest, great service. Talk to Mike.

Glad you are happy!

I got mine back today too, just like he said. Only not for the price he said! Was able to save me a few hundred, which will help pay for the new front end.

I don't think there are very many body shops that will actually let you know that it was less than their AND the insurance co. estimates and still not go ahead and charge you for it.

No one else but Jarod will ever touch mine.
