I leave the house around 10:30 AM heading to Bruegger's Bagels on 120th. Park at King Soopers to get a drink (Bruegger's fountain drinks are weak). Get back to the car and there's a silver Pontiac Trans Am with Rocky's Auto's paper tags and a young guy wiping it down like he just washed it... but there's no coin-op car wash nearby... and he's parked next to me...
I do the math: Young guy + paper tags = obligatory compliment
"Nice car man..." "Thanks..."
I get in the car to drive the 150 ft to Brueggers and he jumps in his ride and follows me... Now I realize why he was next to me. He wanted to run and see what's what... I would've entertained him but A) I was starving B) I was low on fuel. Maybe another time...
Later that day...
I turn onto SE Speer Blvd. near the college-plex and a new blue M3 with CSU plates wants some love. I give him the launch at each light then pull away from him. Admittedly, that was a strong M3 and would hold on until mid 2nd gear. Plus I've got the Nitto NT01s on and they grip well. He got an eye full of wheel hoppin' torque as I got half a car ahead of him when I shifted into 2nd and stomped on it.
Doin' good, thans for asking.........lol, yeah, I have been seeing that a lot myself lately too. I just tell them to go to the drag strip and get what I call, "a reality check", that's where they find out just how slow their pig is!!!
