I'm looking for a recommended local tire service shop that can handle the C6Z06's GY runflats WITHOUT scratching up my comp grey wheels.
Many years ago, I had the runflats on my 2000 coupe's optional magnesium wheels replaced and the shop (after assuring me that they could do the job) literally trashed all 4 wheels.
Who have you used and were you pleased with the job? Thanks.

i just had my runflats replaced at discount tires. the guys really took there time and did a great job......
The Tire Source in Boulder- located near 30th and Valmont.
$12.50 per tire to mount and balance, plus $50 for an alignment.
These guys do a lot of hi perf cars, have been doing so for years, and just replaced my GYSCRF's with Bridgestone RF's on my comp grey wheels without so much as a scratch on them.
I highly recommend making the trip to Boulder. The shop owner does all the work himself, and takes a great amount of pride in doing it right.
I've gotten all my tires for the last several years there. They do performance alignments for a lot of the SCCA crowd. You can definitely trust them with your wheels. They'll match or beat any tire rack price except no shipping charges and their price includes mounting and balancing. Pete and the rest of the crew over there really cater to the motorsports community. I picked up the front Goodyears mounted and balanced for a smigen under $600. Thought that was pretty good.

BTW Scottycards, how do you like the Bridgestone RFs vs. the GYs?
I much prefer the Bridgestones.
Went and ran the Big Bend open road race last weekend. The performance of the b-stones was much better.
On the drive down and back (2000 miles round trip) they were great on the highway- quieter, for sure. Slightly better ride, with less slap on cement freeways with cracks.
At speed, the grip was a lot better. Overall, I'd say if the GY's rated a 6, these rate an 8 or 9 on a scale of 1-10. After having the bridgestones, I won't be going back to the GY supercar runflats.
I don't have enough miles yet to see how the treadwear is.
The tires are Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position RFT's. Stock C6 size in front and Z06 size in rear.
