Open lapping days at HPR
It's an awesome road course with a little bit of everything, and a front straight where our cars properly driven can hit 140-150mph or beyond.
So anyone interested?
Here's a teaser:

C'mon, you're not that old Gordon!! Steve (silver C6) that you met at Pueblo a couple of weeks ago is doing a BMW event back at Pueblo this weekend - he told me drivers must be at the track by 6:45 am!
And speaking of Pueblo (PMP), here's a couple pics that Erik Melander took for me down there two Saturdays ago during that cold, misty 1st session.

Fun, fun, fun!
I did the BMW club school 3 times, and yea you gotta be there early. Never owned one, probably never will, but can't say enough good things about them. Great school, great people. Bet they had a heck of a time today!
Trouble maker
Gordon, some how or another got his account removed on here!He asked me to let you know that he will be at HPR on the 12th. Contact him via e-mail if you can.
I also one or two TORCA guys are heading out that way.
Have fun on Friday!
I've been playing with the aligment and sway bar settings trying to get the HP to stick coming out of the corners.

leak down tonight to find out where the problem is, this is the second set of cometic gaskets I've had problems with this year after I personally changed the heads and gaskets.
There is a good thread over here discussing what I and others have had problems with and some possible solutions..
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...-problems.html
a thread I'm sure Zr1FoUrFiFtEen over looked.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I've been playing with the aligment and sway bar settings tryign to get the HP to stick coming out of the corners.
You should have let Dewild Motorsports install your new heads, since they were the guys that fixed all the mistakes from the big name shops you used the first time around!
You want to send your car out to Katech.........really.......you have a guy 10 miles away that does a better job?

I'm really suprised that you'ld even think of a different shop after you brought in a car full of problems and got it repaired right and had an entire rebuilt 454ls7 in one weeks time AND drove accross country to race the next day with NO issues!!!

I never questioned ANY work that Rod or his father did on my car, nor did I bring ANY shops names up.
I have done nothing but praise Rod for his work, he STILL is the ONLY person I will let touch the car, other than me.
But IF the heads can't be sealed and they are flat, it may imply a problem with the Darton resleaved LS7 block ( done in California) . If thats the case. I may have to entertain another resleaved block option or aftermarket from the likes of World, RPS, Katech etc....Ultimately, I will leave it up to Rod to decide. Unlike some of the vendors I've delt with in the corvette world, he has never led me wrong. As a matter of fact he has gone WAYYY out of his way to help me.
I did do my own head install just as you did on your LT5. Last I knew it still was not running correctly. Mine seams to be a MFG materials problem..yours?
Maybe you should take your own advice, or pick up the phone if you have a beef with someone.

thanks for the kind words. When its all done the new heads will be well worth the trouble your having with gasket mfg.

agreed. you were the ONLY person to make this car right. I was the one who broke the seal and have had Cometic Head Gasket issues using since May of this year ( of course you already know that, because you've been helping me through this on the phone for the last few weeks.....including today)
I don't know what Katechs turn around time is on a block, because that was what I was referring to, sorry I wasn't more specific. They are only on the "top of my" list for a resleaved block if I end up needing one. But as I stated above... If it does..I'll will let YOU make the final call, as teh full build would be run by one chef.
I guarantee ANY turn around time from them ( katech, or any resleaver for that matter) would not be the 7 days you COMPLETELY rebuilt & tuned my 454 cu in LS7 motor prior to me leaving for Road America nearly a year ago.
I've been waiting for final #'s to do my "introduction" post here on the forum about the car after installing the head package you recommended. I continue to Recommend everyone to Dewild performance..and if you live locally, You'd be crazy to go anywhere else. Like you said " I fix all the stuff everyone else F*cks up around here", I'm proof of that.
There has been a alot of work put into this car by both Myself, you and your father. Thank you! and sorry for the miscommunication.

BTW, if anyone needs referal. PM me.

Are you implying that that there is something wrong with my build? There is NO problem with my Lt5....turns out it was a bad coil witch was replaced a few weeks ago!
PM's go both ways player. I see you edited your post.
I did. I maned up, as I realized that in my O.P. not all of its content came out as I intended. After "physically talking to Rod", I understanding where he was coming from when it was "read" in that matter.
Rod ( and his father) have proven to be much than builders too me. Even though it has been less than 5 years, I value their friendship too much to NOT clarify my post. There are Car buddies, then ther are car buddies.
