Sunday the 24th theres an SCCA autocross event at Coors Field. I'm trying to get info, I don't race but I want to find out more about it.

I don't know how its going to be set up. Probably in the parking lots?, I'm guessin'. They told me its free to spectators but I think they make you work.
Like picking up fallen cones or something. I know if you race you have to work at something. I'll check it out and once I get familiar I'm gonna give it a shot. I was thinking of going to racing school for a day but they want around $700. for a day. A little outta my price range.

The course is set up in the parking lot north of the field. Anyone can go and watch, and you only have to work the course if you intend to race. I raced there about a month ago, it's very well organized and a lot of fun. To be competitive, however, you have to modify your car; even in the so-called stock classes all the cars run DOT-approved slicks and have their suspensions modified radically with 2-3 degrees of negative camber and they're all lowered. It's worth the trip just to watch the front-wheel drive cars run the course and lift their inside rear wheels 6" off the ground around the corners... :lol:
