Anyone been up there? I guess it's in Meade, CO (or Erie). That don't have a website yet. My dad is up there for the afternoon running his GS around the track and having a blast. He said that it's $90 for a 1/2 day Tues-Sun. It's him and 3 other cars, can't ask for anything more than that!

YES!
I went to school in Ft. Collins, and I can't tell you how many days I spent driving by that track wishing I could drive it!
i went continential divide racepark today to check it out. don't get this confused with the old continental divide raceway that was in castle rock in the late 50's through the 80's i think.
it is on the NE corner of i-25 and exit 245.
they are open tue-sun from 9am to 6pm. walkin's are welcome and it's $90 for half day and $150 for full day. a club can rent it out for about $1,500 and then about $700 for insurance and then about $70/hour to have an ambulance on-site. no food or bev onsite. helmets required. 970/535-9999 is the office and i would call before going there to make sure that the track is not rented out or reserved. it was empty when i was there.
the track was built in the early 80's and must have been in disrepair in the past. i talked with doug the gm and he has been making improvements to the facility.
it is ~1.7 miles in length and has 9 turns. it does have some elevation on it which would make it interesting going into and coming out of some turns. but there is that unknown factor when coming out of a turn, over a crest into another turn and not seeing what is there or more importantly what could be there.
the track appeared to be fairly clean with not many rocks, rubber, dirt, sand, debris noticable. the actual condition of the track surface is about a 5 on a 10 scale.
there are some pit areas to cool down and grandstands for watchers.
i personally think that 2nd creek is a better deal at $60 for the half day. both have similar facilities and i think that second creek is in better condition. i also think that some of the runoff areas at 2nd creek are better/safer. unfortunately 2nd creek is closing down at the end of the year. i have raced 2nd creek with my vette but have not raced on cdr however i did see the whole track today. ymmv

I don't know if you went on the track this day but from the top straight line you have a right and then go down for a left.
If they haven't reapir this part I won't go again
I think the best deal is pueblo, never been and hope will go as soon as I can. (I just have back surgery)

I've been many times. best lap 1'15"
hard on the brake, I like it but won't go in hot day

What new track? Is 2nd creek just renovating, or closing for good?
I received news with the new track layout six month ago. I'm participating in CECA event and they already charge us an extra 20 bucks for collection for the new track.
check on the web or ask CECA
