I just checked online to make sure my room reservation didn't "get lost"

Mine is one that has disappeared. I booked it back in September through Hilton Honors website and they don't seem to have a record of it now. And the Hampton is sold out.

Mine are still there. But if you have a confirmation number and you've guaranteed them with a credit card, then wouldn't the hotel be responsible for making sure you have your room(s), whether they lost your reservation or not? They always hold back a few rooms, so I would think they would put you somewhere, rather than just telling you they don't have your reservation.
