Sadly I think it's just right around 100. I saw that number in another thread. My girlfriend and I are 2 of them though

I think I saw right around 100 as well. It should still be a good time...just will be different this year. Keep the CI spirit alive

Stopped over at the Hampton last night, only about 16 cars and maybe twice as many people.
Today is the first "official" day, but in years past, we usually had well over 100 on Wednesday.
Headed to the NCM in a bit, we'll see who's there.

I expected it to be low but....damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Hopefully when Iam there tomorrow it will pick up a little.
Frank ya still got the same cell number? I'll give ya a buzz tomorrow when I get there. I plan on hitting the NCM seminar in the morning about the track update. Then participating in the car show but other then that have no plans. Not sure if I'll be coming back on saturday totally depends on the vibe of people around and if the weather is cooperating.

Me, ZR_DON and Roscoe are the only ones of the people who have made all of them, that are here. I hear Snowman can't make it and of course since Adam works and lives here, he counts, but it would be hard for him to miss it. Although I haven't seen him yet.

I swung by the Hampton last night about 8:00pm with a few friends and it was very quiet. I'd say maybe 30 people broken off in to small groups in chairs hanging around outside. I was kind of suprised based on threads and photos from years past.

That really sucks!! I don't think you can base anything on years past!! The first CI I went to, which was CI6, the BAymont and Hampton were completely booked, everyparking space b/t the two had a vette in it, and there must have been over a 1000 folks standing around socializing, drinking, and having a good time!!

I think that NCM staff came out to do the group photo with us just to fill in people cause it was so bad. I did bump into my good friend Mr. Mojo and talked for a while with him along with meeting a new face on the forum. I believe he said he went by the name DJ vette. He had an awesome cool C3 with custom radio molded into the dash.
I then shot over to the Baymont/Hampton Inn. Middle of the day around 4. Not a soul around. Same thing maybe 20 vettes outside parked. I decided after seeing that, that there really was no point to stick around so I came home.
We really have something to shoot for next year to do something to majorly turn this event around. I already started talking to people today and already have some ideas that will be be talking to Roc and the NCM staff about.

I still had a great time despite the low turnout.
The Barren River road tour was awesome. We actually had 4 C4's out there, I think that's a new record.
On the way back to the NCM, me and HP Bushrod had some fun cruising the backroads, made it in record time and never really went much over 60 mph, of course when you have people towing boats and other farm equipment in front of you and no room to pass, it's hard to go any faster.
Good to see my ol' buddy Jeff(Xtreme Vette), sorry couldn't spend more time chatting.
We hit the road at 6:00am this morning and rolled in the driveway about 10:00pm.
Very tired, I'll post pics tomorrow.

We had a great time too, it was only our second Cruise in, but the road tours (Barren river and Heaven Hill) were great, the weather was good, and the company was great.

Attendance certainly was low this year, maybe just a casualty of the economy. I think things will improve with time. Wifey and I had a great time, did the Barren Lake tour and another free tour on saturday. Weather was good, very minimal rain, just enough on thursday to wash the bugs off.
I felt sorry for the Hampton Inn, seems like most of the people I saw on the Barren Lake tour were not staying at the Hampton. I don't know where most were staying, and failed to ask. Hampton staff was fantastic as usual and went way above and beyond with trying to meet our needs. They even had arranged for a food vendor, but he left, apparently not able to sell enough to make expenses. I hope attendance rebounds or this event will have a difficult time finding a decent base facility to host it.
