So.... nice day here on the cape so I went to have the car reinspected to remove the big red "R" that the garage techs had such a great time sticking to my windsheild. I had replaced my battery and the clearing of the PCM cause the failure due to certain "not reported" errors. Supposedly, have to drive the car for 15 mins between 45 and 55, and have five complete stops for "longer" than 30 seconds. The second time to get the sticker.... three of the five were there, however the O2 sensors were not reporting. Today the five critical reported and I did get my sticker, however the techs told me that the PCM was still not completely responding, however it was good enought to get my sticker. Had to wait an hour an a half, three cars in front of me all had to be hooked to the dyno for testing... not just the plug and play inspection. While there, its a very busy parking lot..... cars were zipping in and out, backing near the car (cotton heads) and I was nervous.... one volvo pulled up and almost hit my car, two middle age ladies began to take pictures of each other next to my car... then motored off....... talk about odd...... the techs couldnt get enough of giving me crap for the rest of the time I was there (oh the ladies just wanted to have a photo of your red RICER, see the sticker on the car.... must be a RICER..... thanks guys... going to send them a dog poo pizza ;-) ....... oh well. That is the LAST MA sticker I will ever have to have on the car..... Have a house being built in Cape coral FL, moving this summer..... whooo hooo!
