Here is good run, SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ.
It's 75 miles from Canal & Hudson we meet at 8:00pm
Get there in 1 hour 9:00
Cruise the strip, get a bite to eat on the board walk
pick up some V.E.J.G. (very easy jersey girls) to chill with
and head back home @ 11:30-12
be back in the city by 1:15
NOW THATS A FULL 5 HOUR TOUR
P.S. I know the cops are going to go with so many vettes on the strip
We Get together at Grants tomb at midnight, we cruise down the West side pkwy, cut across 42nd and times square like we did on sunday, then we head straight toward the midtown tunnel, blast into queens and end the cruise at Goldfingers. There's a Sears parking lot a block away where we can park so the vettes stay safe and sound. Who knows, we could even get some of the girls to pose with the vettes before we leave. Whole thing would be as long as the Sunday puddle run. I know Nabbs isn't into strippers but the rest of us aren't into going to "The Manhole". What do you guys think?
Strippers are ok, but FJB wants to know if he can tip them with change.
If she gives you any attitude about the nickels, just throw the whole jar of change on stage against the pole. That sucker will explode like a grenade, showering nickels and glass all over the place.

Jessica is so understanding!!!
I'm surprised that she didn't say:
"So he decides to stand in the middle of traffic and get himself runover and you follow him? If he jumps off a bridge, will you do the same?"
So... when we going bungee jumping F.J.B.?
Honestly, she thought the Times Square pics were great. She thinks Nabbs "has to be gay" to have posed with the Wall street bull like that. She thought it was very disturbing.
i can't count how many times i've done that drive...from canal in "real world" conditions, u are looking at at least 1hr 45min to exit 82, which is rt 37 to seaside...
Its a not going to be on a "hot summer morning", we are planning a night run..........leaving 8:00P.M.
I'm just busting on you since I live at the shore and I see Bennies sitting on the GSP all the time knowing that the shore will be closed by the time they get there.
If you do plan a night I would try to get it in before the summer. On Friday and Saturday night the GSP is still very crowded.
Yes I'm all game to do more of these -- but let me set a few ground rules.
1- Wherever we go should not be more then 1.5-2 hrs from NYC, that way it's not unreasonable for people around the tri-state area to attend.
2- Keep it simple, no full-day events, it just starts to be too much. We should spend 5hrs at the most (incl driving time). Anything more just starts to get to be less fun and more work. In fact, the perfect time is about 3 hours long.
You combine those two rules: fun, relatively short driving distance, and a reasonable amount of time -- and we could have some real fun! So let's start suggesting some stuff that is somewhat nearby. No crazy fancy restaurants, but somewhere that is a nice drive.

I agree...part of the fun yesterday was clear roads and no traffic. I like getting up early in the AM and doing our thing...I was home in Ct before noon. It was also a blast to go to places like Times Square and City Hall that we all know so well but just never get to.
What about an early morning meet at the World's Fair Marina, a run down the BQE, if not too many pot holes, to Coney Island and breakfast or lunch? There must be some interesting places in Brooklyn for pix along the way...just a thought.

The world's fair sounds like a great idea! From there, we could take the belt pkwy in the early am (shouldn't be too crowded) There are a few places to open things up there where there are barricades on both sides and we could stop at the the park overlooking the Verrazanno. Actually, best thing would be to start the cruise at Canal and Hudson (now a tradition ) take the Williamsburg to the belt. Stop by the Verrazano park, then take the belt to the Van Wyck and end the cruise at the World's fair. We can stop by The Unisphere, Arthur Ash stadium and the big duck pond for some pics. For you Mets fans, we could even take pics in front of Shea!

That is an excellent idea! It's been years since I've been to Cooney Island, and I think the Boardwalk would be a great place to go.
Any thoughts on a good place to end up at?
Again, if we do this early we can get some great scenic stuff.
I am already researching this...but great suggestion!

We could go to Astro land and ride the Cyclone! Nabbs, you and F.J.B. can go to the kiddie section and ride the worm coaster and the merry go round firetrucks.
