Default Paging Alex.

Well the nice weather is here, time to start planning our round of golf. It looks like it's going to be you and me against Bob (wicked weasel) and Ed (motown). The weekends look pretty booked so we should plan something during the week. By the way, have you gotten to a driving range yet ? This could be an expensive day if Ed and Bob have any sort of game.

Get your butt to a driving range so you know what to expect. Like I said, it could get expensive.

Um do you think you have a chance against Ed and I with a PUTT-PUTT man.

Even if Ed's clubs have a bit of dust on them at least he has clubs and they are Pings - you know the club makes the golfer - lol

Alex has maybe a putter - I hope it is the "Billy Baroo" (caddy shack reference).

Alex if you need clubs I think my neighbor's kid has a set for you...

Do they even make clubs small enough for Alex to use???

I can relate to his golfing experience.....The Windmill and the Clown give me the most trouble......forget the Sand and Water hazards.....My Handicap you ask.....TOO MANY TO LIST!!!!

Hey, that's my partner your talking about. If I get Alex to a driving range and give him a few lessons, we could give you guys a pretty good run.

What's a club???

Oh, you mean that stick thingy you hit the ball with. Geez, now I gotta go to a driving range and practice. Hey F.J.B., know of any close driving ranges. Isn't there one in Douglaston? Maybe I'll stop by after work sometime this week.

Thanks for the offer Bob, if you don't mind showing a newbie some pointers, I'll definitely take you up on those lessons. Thanks! How hard can it be, you hit the ball thingie with the stick thingie and run the bases right?

I would be more than willing to give you a few pointers. A golf swing is a sports move, all to do with transfering your weight from side to side. Ever play baseball, tennis or hockey?

Used to play baseball all the time as a kid, tried tennis once, used to play intermural street hockey in high school. As I mentioned before, I've played miniature golf plenty of times as well but to me, its more of a 1:1 scale.

Baseball is a good example, you start off with your weight on your back foot swing through and end up with your weight on your front foot. Golf is the same principle. We could probable take those guys.

He means he played T-Ball...and Tennis with a ball on a string...

As for Driving ranges...there is one on Northern Blvd across from Bay Chevy in Douglaston , and there is one in New Hyde Park....

There might also be a 3par course in Flushing Meadow Park....not sure if its still open or taking over by those Cricket Playing individuals(Sammy)...

You can be my caddie Sammy. I can't play any worse drunk than sober so for every golf sticky you hand me, you can hand me a beer and we'll chug them down together. Then, instead of betting on who wins, you guys can bet on whether I make it to the 18th hole.

If you are going to be drinking during the round I'll have the bar cart follow us . And don't be spending our money yet, I can whip Alex into good enough shape to put a hurting on both of you .
