I can enjoy a sarcastic sense of humor as much as the next guy, but when I see someone take a shot at a guy for doing a mod many have thought about, but no one has done, it pissed me off. I agree that the car looks silly now, and if he were to leave it like that, thinking that the L.A. pimp look is cool, I'd have been the first person to call him out. I just know the backround to this paticular situation, as Glenn and I have been discussing a wide body rear quarter/facia for some time now. I think when the whole mod is finished, many people will be impressed. After all, if you walked in the operating room half way through open heart surgery, it doesn't look very pretty either...

wow I go to dinner and FJB is in trouble again. I guess it is nothing new - hell everyone hates him until they meet him. 
If we all know one thing about FJB is that he says what is on his mind. He does not BS around and say well it looks good or wow good luck when he does not mean it. He says yeah or nay and I have to give him a ton of credit for that. I think it takes more guts to go against the norm then to stay with it. FJB has an opinion just like everyone else here on this forum. Some people will agree and some will not. I assume that is why we are a Democratic socieity.
Yellohhh sorry that you took great offense to his post, but it is his opinion and not yours and he has every right to speak it just as you do. I do think posting the NE forum thread to the C5 general thread is just trying to stir up trouble, but you thought it was necessary so who am I to argue.
I wish the guy doing this the best of luck achieving his goals - it is his car and he will be the only true judge if the car ends the way he hopes.

Dont worry Yellohh none of really understand FJB. All I can say is that he always says what is on his mind and he is always honest.
I think it is always hard to find a person that is honest to your face and I have to give him credit for that.

NE is the only place I come to lament, the rest of the board is filled with people who probablly shouldn't operate a Corvette, let alone breed. I've limited my browsing to just this section, lest I get an aneurysm. I suggest you do the same. Until tonight I hadn't checked another section of this board in months. I, like you, have a low threshold for people
The only way to cure this is just not to wander off into things like that. Next time you want to browse General, Tech, etc, etc -- call me, I'll come over and stab you in the eye with a pencil. It's just about the same experience as reading any of the other sections.
Instead read those Cannonball stories I sent yah!
