Hi Chris.
I like 0349 too. Bob, the track looked pretty dry....
How'd that older GT thing run?
Ron
The track was drying with wet spots, but that caused more of a hassle. In the rain you knew what to do, but going from dry to wet to dry caused a problem with not knowing how much your car was going to slide.
That GT thing was a PITA. I loved the car and the steering wheel was on the right side, but that guy was always in the way. He was one of those guys that floored it on the straight so you could not get by and tehn went 1 mph through the turns. I know that if I had that car I would be careful too,b ut let people pass that are faster.
Anyway my story about that car is that I was stuck beehind him coming off the back straight into the Bus Stop. He of course did not let me pass and I was on his BUTT for the Bus Stop, Turn 5 and turn 6. Again he would not let me pass and now I was stuck behind him for turns 7,8,9,10,11. 11 feeds into the long front straight comes. My instructor (great guy Jim 47 on this forum) said I dont care if we dont get a pass by signal we are passing him. Well I came out of turn 11 a bit hot and got right into the gas. The GT did the same thing and we were both pulling down the track. I se the brake signs coming quickly and my instructor basically said keep going. Finally the GT broke early setting up for his 1 mph turn in and I went flying by him. At that point though I had to jump on the brakes get into position and then make the turn in. I cut down and I thought it was going to be a chance that I didn't make it. I had to run the car way out and I was glad they extended the track at that point. Anway I got back on line and lifted for a split second coming into the esses then hit the gas again up the mountain. well to say the least I never saw the GT again....
