It was nice meeting a bunch of members, Fallen, undertaker, Rob 99 and others. I was quite pleased with my results. I don't have a scanner so I'll have to wait untill Monday to post my graph. My best run was 280 RWHP and 307 lb/ft TQ. My only real mod is a Corsa cat-back exhaust. I wanted to get a baseline before I did my head/cam/LT headers. Cant' believe how flat the torque curve is on these LT1s. From 2500-4500 RPM its almost a straight line.

Hey Tony your car looked and sounded great and those are very good numbers to, mine was pretty much the same from my previous best, 337hp 355 tq.
And connecticut, i would think thats the rev limiter cutting off sharp like that, although i would think it should redline a bit higher, not sure what year you have.

Guys undertaker is pulling your leg. Read his post carefully, that was not a Corvette that he posted results for. That was his 502 CID, nitrous fed truck! What a sleeper. If it was only 1000lbs lighter.

If my a/f was at least on the chart I bet it would have been at least
50 hp higher....

Thanks for the compliment Rob. I can't wait to go back and dyno it again next year in the spring after my heads/cam/LT headers. I'm hoping for at least a 100 more RWHP .

was mainly LSx motors. there, 2 or 3 LT1's, a SRT4, a big ford powerstroke crewcab that barely fit on the damn lift for the dyno it was so long....

I thought of bringing my Z06 but the darn thing is stock so what hte hell is that going to accomplish for me. Besides the truck always makes people scratch their heads when they realize its not just loud mufflers it can more than back up the noise it makes......wasn't doin too good on the onramps and off ramps following fallen in his Z06 with a busted driver's side leaf spring, but the big ol overweight police package held its own....But even with upgraded brake materials, oversized calipers, hydroboost brakes, stainless lines etc. it just can't stop like a vette......luckily I kept a good distance...

____________________

Group I

These are numbers recored on TTP's dyno on October 15, 2005 after timing was increased:

Pull 1 424.8 rwhp/402.4rwtq

Pull 2 423.92/401.51

Pull 3 427.83/404.79

Pull 4 425.95/403.33

The temperature was about 81 degrees.

_____________________________

Group II

The following numbers were recorded on TTP's dyno on June 4, 2005 when the temperature was about 92 degrees:

Pull 1 425.02/400

Pull 2 431.91/403.4

Pull3 430.92/401.95

Pull 4 428.63/399.34

The above run is with less timing.
________________

Group III

On May 4, 2005, the car in the same timing as in Group II was run on ECS's dyno:

Pull 1 434.7/402.8

The temperature is unknown.

________________

Conclusion

The area under the curve for Group I and Group II appears to be similar, but the problem is that the two charts have different scaling. Hence, I cannot place one over the other.

Horsepower and Torque between Group I and II is very similar (Group II is nominally greater).

Thus, I will reduce timing to run the same timing that I was running at the time of the Group II run.

To Matt from TTP:

Thanks again. I'll call you tomorrow to arrange for pick-up of my pack that I inadvertently left at your shop. Also I'm conteplating removing my Euros.

--Rich

PS

The car dynoed at 388.0 rwhp/380.3 rwtq with all of the aforementioned mods except for the cam, springs, pushrods, retainers, chain, and pump.

Here are my dyno pulls. For those that don't know my car it's a '94 LT1 6-speed. Stock, but for a Corsa cat-back exhaust.

Rich those are close #'s you have on all your runs, it appears that the timing didn't hurt you to much a little less than 3hp from the group lll pull compared to the group ll.
What is the diff in timing from those two instances? i mean cause your certainly not going to notice the SOP diff, but at least your pretty close considering diff Dyno's. Any your Z sounded great to. Rob
