Default Regional Events/Discussion Issues

Moderators have taken a vote and decided to eliminate the northeast section of the United States.

Well, perhaps that’s extreme, so we have the issue under further consideration.

In my mind, there are a couple of questions/issues that need to be addressed involving regional events/discussion areas:

1. Should Forum members be able to use the events/discussion areas for casual conversation on topics unrelated to the region except for the fact that they are posted by people who live in the NE?
2. Should Forum members in the NE area of the country be exempt from Forum rules and polite behavior?

We’re willing to take a look at the situation and to get constructive suggestions, but as per Forum rules/guidelines those suggestions should be addressed via PMs or e-mail. Hijacking a section of the Forum to force your vision of what the section should become is poor form.

Some patience from our neighbors in the NE would be appreciated. Mr Mojo and RichF each are distracted right now with some personal issues and I’m on the road, trying to access the Forum and e-mail via a slow and intermittent dial-up connection.
