I doubt you would want to learn on a C3 car. The C5 clutch is a lot smoother. The same principal is there though. It is pretty easy. Press right foot to the floor and sidestep the left foot. It is a little violent but will get you going in a hurry.
when your at work "opps sorry you don't know what work is "
you have to type real quick.. to many people walking around!!!!!and sometimes you don't get a chance to proof read it...
I took a couple of lessons during the summer & bought a 1981 Datsun 280zx to practice with.
It's not a junk car so you do have to take care but I can show you the basics... clutch & shifting coordination and getting into 1st gear without cutting off the engine is the toughie for a newbie.
I got stalled in traffic a few times during my 1st lesson but once I got the hang of that it, my 2nd lesson went pretty smooth.
If you want, you can practice in a nearby parking lot only, tho....not in traffic. I'm in Queens.
I Have a Corvette C3 transaction from Ebay being handled right now...(automatic ) but maybe you'll be able to hook me up with some local C3 folks if I need help with something in return.

What part of Queens are you in??
Alot of forum guys live in Queens, we get together every other week at Cunningham park just to BS (in the winter, we sometimes do things after work in the city). Having a C3 locally would be really cool. Let us know when you have your C3 and we can all meet up and introduce ourselves.
