Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP

I had them on my C5, they are very very quiet, still run-flats & and they hold the road much better then the GY, the best out there.

if you are staying with runflats then that is the way to go. If not then I would look at PS2, BFG KDW2 or GY F1 D3 all of which are good tires.

Upgrading wheels then look into CCWs. Good looking wheel and very durable. I have 1 set for racing and another set for street driving.

if you upgrade the wheels you can get 18inch all around with like 275 in the front and 305 in the rear. Nice looking wide tire plus that is what the Carfaro wanted orginally for the car.

Default Tires

Pilot Sport AS ZP's.... Best ZP on the market... and check out the warranty. If i remeber correctly, Michelin will cover road hazard up to 25% tread wear if the tire is not repairable.

Late,
Tony

You might also check C5 General. There's lots of posts over there on this very subject.

Have 12,000 miles on my Michelins, hardly any signs of wear and a great ride.

I'm very happy with these tires. They are even somewhat useful in the snow.

Theres a good post in tech on this. If you go from runflats to anything youre going to notice a huge difference. It was one of the best decisions I've made. I dont know if there the best but I went with the Continentals conti sport, good, long wearing and sticky, relatively cheap. At least compared to the firestone runflats.

I am in the same boat but I am deffinitely leaving the runcraps alone. I was looking at the firestone wide ovals they are cheap but does anyone know if they are any good? I looked them up on the tire rack and they had good test numbers. I am going to try and find that post in the tech section.
