night all.. dont do anything stupid
What would I get Rear wheel with a tune?
Rob

Well, every tuner has a different style and is looking for different results....
Some guys go the dyno route....I prefer the Street route....
I avoid RWHP numbers cause it's like this......Dyno's never tell the whole story in my opinion.....ie. take your car to 5 different dynos, and you will get 5 totally different numbers.....even if the manufacturer of the dyno is the same......
The vehicle....the operator....the day (or weather).....THE VEHICLE WEIGHT which is keyed in by the operator and NEVER exact (remember that FUEL weighs 8lbs per gal...).....and a bunch of other things which affect your numbers.....which are ALL variables.....How do we expect to compare RWHP numbers on the forum from tuner to tuner or car to car or shop to shop.....You can't do it....It isn't an exact science...
The same car on the same dyno on the same day....still dirrerent enough that you can't use the numbers for comparison......
Take a class in advertising.....Would a dyno tuner EVER....post his lowest numbers....or the average??? nope. neither would a header manufacturer......
Dynos (in my opinion) are great for rainy days....800+ hp cars and trailer queens.....dyno runs are cheaper than a full day at the track...For all you guys that use your cars on the street for the most part.....consider trying my method....
Dyno tuning ignores certain aspects of driveability...I don't. A powerful vette that dosen't distribute power properly isn't fun to drive....and dosen't always finish the race first.....even though the dyno sheet lookes better.....nuff said...
Here's what I don't do....proclaim RWHP numbers....at best, they are rough gueses....I will tell you, "it feels like 100hp ...or 50hp...." but, what's your reference point....you don't know either....What I will tell you.....Your dyno tuned car will Feel and drive better when I'm done....GUARANTEED..or you don't pay.....that's fair right? And...Talk about Automatics....Forget it...I build them from scratch....And as far as programming goes.....It's my favorite thing to program, cause people just can't believe that I get the feel and performance out of a stock slushy/slippy automatic....
Call me when you have time and I'll gladly talk your ear off....Let me give FOO his bar back.....
hope this helps....
