Default Performance shop in DC area?

Anyone know of a reliable place to have mods done to a Z06 in the DC area?

I was wanting to upgrade to double valve springs very soon.

I've never used them, but I've heard nothing but good things about Tony's Corvette Shop in Gaithersburg. Supposedly pricey but very capable.
Not to be a dick, but valve springs aren't hard to swap, btw.

Would love to do them myself, but stupid place where I live won't let residents work on their vehicles on the property.

Blaine,
Where do you live? I am in Gaithersburg and have a decent sized garage (where my Z06 is in pieces right now awaiting the completion of the Dynatech install). After mid-April I will be moving to Clarksburg (about 15mi. north up 270). to a bigger house with a smaller garage.

Sorry I live in the Lorton Area. Any place with a garage costs between 700K and 1 MIL +. I won't pay that amount for a crappy made townhouse. I'm holding off for a year when I move back to the midwest to buy another house. I do own a house in IL. with a 2 car garage, but doesn't do me much good out here at the moment.

Places north of DC are cheaper yes, but too far from where I work. Traffic is nightmare here. Almost the worst place in America to own a sports car. YOu pretty much only get to use ur first 2 gears and thats it. ANd thats if traffics moving.

i strongly reccomend you call Brian Bossone of Every Last Detail Performance/ ELD Performance. I have been a friend and customer of Brian since 1991. since that time i have watched Brian's shop grow, there isnt a single performance car that they have not worked on. this would include twin turbo corvettes, 7 second turbo mustangs, 8,9,10, 11, 12 second camaros, mustangs, buick grand nationals and of course c5 corvettes. they can do it all engine build ups, swaps, turbo, superchargers/ mapping, everything.

if you have watched the TV show Pinks, Brian was on the show last year. He took a mustang that his shop build in two weeks, made just under 800 rwhp and kicked the crap out of a built chevelle with a big n20 shot.
you can have 100% confidence in Brian, his techs and his level of work.

I agree with you I took my Z06 to them to have it tinted and they did an awesome job, plus they were very Knowledgeable about my car, apparently the owner has a new Z also. I purchased the new Corsa Exhaust system from them they beat all the other prices that I found online and when it comes in they are giving me a heck of a deal with installing it.

I am recommending any one in the Maryland/DC area to try them.

that's funny...i'm a real estate investor and can tell you that you might want to look a little more in lorton. you can find a beautiful townhome for under $450 there with no problem, $700k you can have a nice house in lorton. it's not up to northern va prices yet. take your car to phil off of bw parkway.

I would not echo this recommendation. If you have a Mustang then sure, ELD would be fine. IMHO, they are not the way to go for a Vette. Tony's in Gburg would be my suggestion.

I use Tony's Corvette Shop for all my non-warranty work. Reliable and meticulous, they know Corvettes and are authorized to GMPP repairs once the car is beyond the 36/36 threshold.

I had problems with ELD for something very simple and after asking and searching around ended up at Tony's.( I used to work around the corner) They have an incredible facility and the quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and of course end results were spectacular. I would highly reccomend you go by and check them out, when you pull in the place you'll know you mae the right choice!

Boy, do I feel that. Tony's has a great reputation from what I've heard. I'd recommend Tysons Chevy for warranty work, but that may be too far out of your way. Bill there is a great guy.

Your about 2.5 hours away from ECS in Cream Ridge NJ. Thats nothing considering your going to one of the top Corvette tuner shops in the world. You know it will be done right.

I would reccomend a visit to Tony's. Spend some time at the shops(s) with Tony, Keith and Andrew. I agree with Ranger, this shop is reliable and meticulous, but will add that they have passion, integrity, and knowledge. My Z was tuned on their super eddy current dyno, and many mods completed at Tony's. (I am very pleased)
My family has purchased 3 corvettes from Tony's. Absolutely remarkable business.
I'll meet you at the shop if you want a spin in a car they have modded!
