Default 2006 Track days

Hello All,

C.A.R.T. Track Days 2006Looking to satisfy your need for speed? Join the Connecticut Autocross and Rally team at these events:
Pocono Raceway Lime Rock Park
May 12, 2006 (north course) June 22, 2006
July 31, 2006 (south course) October 2, 2006
September 1, 2006 (North Course) -
Pocono $175.00. We have also arranged discounted hotel rooms for the Pocono events. Lime Rock $240.

Our track days consist of high speed lapping with a time trial portion. The track portion of the event consists of controlled high speed driving with clearly defined passing zones for maximum safety. There will be a time trial in the afternoon where you compete (one car at a time) against the clock and the other competitors in your class. You will get one warm up lap, 2 timed laps and a cool down lap, the best one counting for trophies that are awarded on the basis of time within your class.

TEAM RELAY POCONO ONLY How will it work? Each team will be assigned a Team number (1-10) and will be assigned a starting time. Team one will start first then two etc... Up to 10 teams can participate. Five drivers make a team. Anyone participating can submit a team. See website for rules.

May 12, 2006 at Pocono & October 2, 2006 at LRP. These will be cooperative events with the Corvair (NECC) Club. We will fill half (40) of the spots and they will fill the other half (40). These are beautiful times of year to be in the Pocono’s and Lakeville so if you would like to run in these events you would be well advised to register early.

Visit us on the web at www.cartct.com for further information or to register.
Space is limited, so please reserve your spot as soon as possible. These events are held rain or shine. Contact JAY BODE, 32 COREY RD., NORTH HAVEN, CT 06473 or email (joerg.bode@snet.net) to reserve your spot.

Hey Brian,
Am I reading the rules correctly on that site. I have a 2003 Convertible and I have a hard top that I use for drag racing. Can I participate in the track days?

Thanks,
Chris

Hello All,

The C.A.R.T. Pocono north event on 5/12 is filling fast. If your thinking of running you should sign up as soon as possible. If you miss this one remember there are a few more chances to run Pocono with CART on 7/31 at the south course and again on 9/1 back on the north course. If you would like to run Lime Rock CART will be there on 6/22 and 10/2.
