With the altitude up around 2500 feet, REDGAR broke another personal best.
13.04 with a 1.986 60'
The forumula was going back to BFG drag radials at 18 PSI and tuning with Hypertech again. I raise the shift points so that when the car shifts it is higher in the RPM band. Out of 9 runs today managed 1.98 twice and a bunch of low 2.0's. I can honestly say the shift point change was worth .06 in ET because I ran 1.986 60' twice today. Once with stock shift points and once without. Both had the Altitude (per Panuzzo) at 2500. Actually, John can you double check that for me they came at 12:37 and 2:21 pm today.
Of course non of that helped me in eliminations with my .492 red light :o :mad

Hmmmm,,,, GOING BACK TO DRAG RADIALS eh? Where are those E.T. Streets? heeeehhhhh? heeeeehhh? I just sold my 1986 Jackson Strat Guitar, and a LOT of Georges/Abes and a few other Dead Prez' are ACHIN' to go elsewhere!
Re: REDGAR gets another step closer to 12's (REDGAR)
Edgar, 12s are a gimme in cooler weather. my ETs usually drop 3 tenths in the early fall (0-300ft). Then you always have a chance to catch a mine shaft day (-1000ft). Did you do a converter?? Planning to??? That would probably drop you a couple of tenths. Good luck

Cool at the 12/13 thresshold. I don't have a C5 like you guys but wondered how much did you gain going from street tires to street slicks like the BFG drag radials??? I turned a 13.10 with my C1 the other week and have been itiching with ideas to try to just once see that 12.99.

Ralph, I'm looking foward to that kind of weather also. :D
Re: REDGAR gets another step closer to 12's (mackeyred96)
-Ralph, thanks and no converter yet. I am trying to get there without it.
-My 95, Thanks
-INMYBLOOD, the BFG's netted me about .15 secs. What it did more important than that is make it regular. On EMT I would get a 2.06 then 2.17 then 2.23 60 ft. On BFG it is 2.01 to 2.03 pretty much all the time with an occasional 1.98. I am still trying myself to do the burn out the same way every time so that it becomes much more consistent.
