I installed my new stinger intake on the car last night and I think there may be some fitment issues, its a 2000 reg coupe for the record. The install went ok but it was a little tight fitting it in there. Now my real possible problem is that when I shut the hood it does not shut as easily as it used to. I used to be able to drop it from a short distance and it would latch no problem. Now that the intake is on only one side will latch and I have to push down on the other to latch it. And also it seems at the front of the car the hood is pushed up just a little. I am hoping that the hoods heat shield fabric material will compress a little to make that little bit more room I need. So really I want to know if this is common with this style intake or if there is something else I can try and do to fix it. Thanks guys, Patrick

Mine left a little compression mark on the hood liner. It doesn't appear to be a big deal. Also, make sure that you have the air bridge as flush against the radiator shroud as possible. You may have to play with it a a little bit.
