Default Boston to Bar Harbor

The wife and I are making the annual trip from Boston to Bar Harbor. But this time we are leaving the children and taking the Vette

June 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

We have been there every year since we have been together (12 years) except the last 2 (kids 2 and 9 months old). We usually take the Ferry over to Yarmouth (wife's family). But we are just staying in town for weekend.

But, this year we just happen to be coming up when a car show will be going on at Cadallic Mountain.

Anyone attending?

See you there. After the flooding here. I am praying for great weather all weekend.

This will be the longest trip we have taken in the Vette.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is the most beautiful place in the country in my opinion. We usually go up there in the Spring. Bar Harbor Inn-Galyn's Cafe for a Lobster and the "Thirsty Whale" for a cocktail and a little local flavor. We're not going to the show, but have a nice trip.

I'll be there that weekend, but not in the Vette. : (

My friend is stationed at the coast guard base there, and they're shutting it down. He's being moved to portland, so I'm helping him move. Oh boy. ; ) If I see you around, I'll stop and say hello.

Although the best lobster and steamers are at the Trenton Lobster Pound, right on 2 East, on your right hand side just before you hit the bridge to go over to Mt Desert Island.

I'm going also. I was going to post a thread on the Bar Harbor weekend but it looks like you beat me to it! I'm so excited to go! My wife and I will be going. It's a big event with my club and this year I made it a point to go. I've never gone to this show. I'm curious as to what the turnout will be. What route are you going on to get up there? Where are you staying? I'll be at the Wonder View Inn.

What day are you going up? I'm leaving work early on Friday and will hopefully hit the road by 3:30. I think it takes about 4 1/2 hours to get up there.
