I was out for almost 4 hours on a cruise through Stewartsville, Hacketstown, NJ - up 57 and west on 46 then down 31. Saw 31 C5 and a couple of C6s, I waved to everyone (I know they saw me -we had eye contact) yet not one waved back! Makes you feel like a smacked a$Z when this occurs. I'm not waving anymore or I'll wait to see what the other guy does. BTW, this is usually what happens - seems only people on this and some other forums do (or say they do) the wave.
was out with some of teh guys on the NW CT run.. passers by in C5's wouldnt wave to me.. yet all the classic rides like XKE's and the like all waved to me..
I've had mixed responces to a wave with all generations, some wave others don't.
Could be a ton of reasons, I supect many didn't see me. A lot of the C5 and C6 guys just don't know any better.
I still wave to all of them though, I refuse to take it personal if I don't get a wave back....now if I get flipped off in return for a wave I might take that personal

I figure it doesn't take that much effort to lift my hand that little bit.
If you ever pass a '71 B/B in southeast CT, expect a wave. I wave to all 'Vettes. If they don't wave back, it shows that it is just a car to them, not a lifestyle!!! Those who wave are passionate about 'Vettes and the heritage of the original American sports car.
So when you are out and and about...Don't forget to !!!
You know whenever I pass a C5 or C6 and the driver does not wave back...I just pass it off to my belief that they are just some snapper head with new money, who doesn't have a clue of the Tradition of the Corvette.....and the respect that each Generation has for one another. To them its just a generic "sports car" and looks at another Corvette as being outside his own circle. Of course this is a generalization....I always keep an open mind...but the blatant failures to wave back usually fall into this catagory in my mind.

I saw about 10 this weekend, all waved except 2 They never saw me. I went to my brothers and everyone that walked in to the backyard said whos got the vette! My mother kept raising her hand and freakin everybody out.
Had a woman strike up a conversation with me at Dunkin D's she has a 05 c6 same color as C6Dvl's
Went through a DWI check with my mom in the car. cop stops me and says"you dont speed in this thing do you? I said no sir, not with my mom in the car! He asked me about my front plate, or lack there of, and I said oh we dont need them in CT. He let me go. I saw about 6 people pulled over in a 2 mile sretch of the taconic, right at the 84 exchange. Theyre gonna make some revenue this weekend.

Well I have to say that I've owned a C5 now for almost 2 years. I wave every single time - to ANY vette that I pass by and people generally wave back:-)
