Hey guys. I want to get my windows tinted to make my car even more evil looking I dont want a limo tint, I'll probablly go midrange. Anyways I live in Central New jersey (Freehold) and was wondering if anyone around my area knew a good shop...Or if anyone had done it before, is it hard to do? I don't think I'd do it all by myself though. What about prices too? Both windows and hatch. Thanks all!!!!!

Rich,
here are the pics I told you I would post. Frisbie is a craftsman at his trade. He computer cuts one piece for the black glass and tints over the dots. He will never say he will guarantee 100% coverage over the dots. But I was more then satisfied after seeing a lot of bad tint jobs on that part of the hatch. Some guys will try to sand the dots down, paint over them, glue black vinyl over them, etc. Next time you are at a Corvette event look around at some of the tint jobs on the back hatch. Frisbie came recommended on the forum and has done a lot of forum members Vettes and other cars. He has got a good rep, i would not vouch for him if i did not think he did a good job.
whats the legal % on the side windows? Assume rear you can go limo?
CE is smoking Steve.
In NJ it is not legal to add tint the front side windows. Back sides and back glass you can have any. I went with 35% all around; I have not had any problems with the police stopping me.

Stephen,
I have an appointment for this Friday (weather permitting) to get mine done at Frisbie's. Tom says 35% is mostly what he installs although it looks a tad light. The next step is 15% and that looks too dark and I believe it could invite problems. Maybe with my ebony interior it will look darker than yours - who knows until it's done. BTW, they're up to $250 now.

Rich, I hope the weather holds out for you. The tint does reflect off the interior color, so with my shale and plastic top it looks lighter. With ebony it will be darker, and if you use the painted top it will get darker. Darker does looks better, but it attracts attention from the police and it is harder to see out of at night. I don't remember the exact price, so with tax it may have been closer to $250.
