I want to extend my thanks to fellow forum member Steve...alias "Undertaker"...for helping me get my rear Nitto RII's. I had ordered fronts and rears from another forum member and friend, Greg (GB'sZ06) and while he was able to get me the fronts in a few days (thanks, Greg ), his supplier was having a devil of the time getting the rears (apparently his supplier is not alone, as I had checked around with other suppliers and the rears were indeed backordered) to the point that Greg had asked me to return the fronts and look at ordering totally different tires. I really had my heart set on the Nitto RII's, as many of my friends (including Steve) had told me how awesome they were. Steve caught a response I had made elsewhere about having a problem getting the rears and pm'd me that he was pretty sure he could get the rears from a friend of his who is a Nitto distributor.
Sure enough, Steve called me the other day and has my rear tires.
I'll either be heading up to Queens, NY later this week or meeting if he picks up his car at ECS to pay him and bring them back home. I know UT takes alot of abuse here (well, so does his car for that matter
) so I thought it proper to give him a personal thank you.
Just another example of the camaraderie we have amongst the Vette community, especially here in the NE section.
