Anybody have any info (date?, time?) for the Corvettes on the boardwalk at Ocean City, NJ? Supposed to be in September, I think. Thanks

Buddy of mine was down there with his family last year and just happened to come across it. I've never been but the pics he had made it look like a lot of fun.

It's a great event - OC, NJ is a neat place to go with your family!

Enjoy,

I would say to take the ferry but I don't think they run early enough that time of year, so then you're looking at taking Rt1 north to the deleware memorial bridge, and then taking Rt40.

The earliest Ferry from Lewes that morning is 8am. If all went perfect, and you were pre-registered, you could just get there in time. It's about 75 miles plus the Ferry ride.

It's about 180 miles to drive around via Delaware Memorial and rt 40

I am a member of Boardwalk Corvettes, we put on the Ocean City show. Thanks for all the good words. We try to make it a fun show for everyone. For those of you who have never attended, one of the highlights is the parade. We meet at the Ocean City municipal airport which is on the bay side of town, we then parade over to the boardwalk with the police helping us through the intersections. Every year we get bigger crowds watching. I highly recomend pre registering. We had well over 300 Vettes up on the boards and it seems to grow every year. Who knows we may hit 400 this year. Lance, thanks for the kind words, we all hope you can make it again this year.

BTW, my recent Ferry Crossing cost me 39 frikken dollars for the Vette and two bodies! I guess if you're hankerin' for a boatride, that's ok. But I'll be driving around - at least until gas gets closer to $10/gallon.
