Default Hey Yankee Fans*************

Congrats on a good season! We had fun ribbing one another in the Detroit/New York series until the thread was moved from your section to off topic. Talk to you all next season when the fun begins again! Until that time we here in Detroit are on a mission....................

We had a Yankees elimination party here on Cape Cod. I guess we have stooped to that level. First time I have ever seen a baseball manager carried off the field by his players. Hopefully Leyland can carry the Tigers the rest of the way. Good luck

It was a pitful sight....
The papers summed it up best...
"MOTOWN MOWDOWN"
Heads will roll today/tomorrow within the team, which will only make for one hell of a season next year.
Good luck with The A's!

Whatever.....
Just like the yankees were going to sweep the TIGERS after the yanks won last Tuesday. Too bad it took the yanks 20 innings to put a run on the board.

Yeah it is a let down, but the true test for your Tigers comes in a 7 game series. You dont have the bullpen to handle the A's. But congrats on your achievements thus far.

If that starting pitching can keep taking the team to the 6th and 7th inning then I think the Tigers Bullpen can shut down just about any team. JMHO.
Zooooomaya at 103mph for an inning or two and then Todd Jones to close out the game. Jones scares me but his numbers are real good. Then there is Walker who is a good lefty fill in, and Rodney with his hat on sideways.
Might not be a All Star nor a Hall of Fame Bull Pen but they have been getting the job done.

Let A-Rod compile his stats with another team.
Joe Torre is getting tired and complacent, the rumors about Lou Piniella sound good.

The whole team disgraced the Yankee name and gave the Yankee 'haters' something to ridicule in their dull lives.

Detroit deserves to win, they actually play like a team, and have a manager that makes some ballzie moves...

Good luck..
