One reason I went with the 3.73s is because I knew that I would be going up to a 402 eventually and with the MN6 tranny I think I will have a good combination of power and gear.

I think they are a great gear for a C5 Coupe, but for a Z06 with MN12 gears I might just run 3.42s unless you are going to do road courses. figure any other time the race is over when you hit 3rd gear. With the MN12 3.42s are like 3.90s for the first 3 gears so what will 3.90s give you???

3.42's for you foofoo I'm still on mine and I love em, you have the power to use em properly now (then again you'll never see a roadcourse bitch), if you were a coupe I'd say 3.73's but with the Z06 ratios 3.42's

true story -

We learned to drive in highschool with a 5 speed taurus or something like that. My Driver Ed teacher was also my track coach so we got along pretty well. He took us out to this iced ove parking lot and said I am going to pull the e-brake and then you steer to correct it. Of course I had no effing idea what I was doing plus the car was a 5 speed. He pulled the emrgency brake and I swear we spun around like 6 times before the car stopped. I said that was cool lets do it again - from then on I was never scared of a car....
