Did you think of trying a dealer? Oasis Chev. is were I purchased my 06 and they did a great job on my alignment. If you go there, tell Randy (service dept) that you only want Bill to do it.

I see you are in Newark, I am next to you in Kearny. I never had an alignment but if you want to go to a dealer I had some warranty service done at Paramus Chevrolet on 17. It is the old malcolm konner corvette place. They Service a lot of Vettes everyday and have a good reputation with Vettes.

i was thinking about them. But i cant stand going to a dealer. You end up going broke by the time you leave.

Being from Northern NJ also, back in the fall I was looking for the most reputable and knowlegeable allignment shop to take my Corvette C6 to.

After much research, I took a drive to: Phoenix Performance in PA. Phoenix specializes in Corvette Racing and in particular allignment and suspension set-ups.

They can tune your suspension / allignment based on your driving style as well as what you would like to get out of the car...performance wise.

While performing my allignment, I was an active participant in the whole process, and learned quite a bit about performance modifications.

While I purchased my Vette from Paramus Chevrolet, they wanted $250 for a four-wheel allignment...which is absurd. Phoenix Performance charged me $110 for same allignment.

Please PM me if you have additional questions

Dave

PS - Another local Corvette Shop you may want to consider is Corvettes of Westchester (Chuck). He also specializes in Corvette suspension / allignment set-ups

I took my '67 to Jack at H. R. Muzzio & Son on Chestnut Street in Ridgewood (NJ). He did a fantastic job - does all the work himself. He does late models as well, and there was a late model Porche he was setting up with a racing alignment when I was there - he's got a great reputation. At some point I'm going to have him lower and align my Z06. Feel free to tell him Scott w/ the black '67 referred you to him.

I'll 2nd Dave's recommendation. We were both at Phoenix on the same day & the guys there did an outstanding job. Well worth the drive.

Fred's Auto Repair. He used to race Vettes. He aligned my '98 with Baer trackers, Hotchkis bars, etc. Schedule it and he'll do it while you wait. Briarcliff, NY 10510 914-762-1131 Excellent work and highly recommended. $125+, cannot remember exactly.

So where is Phoenix Performance? How about some contact info? I have no problem making a drive to PA since I live 15 minutes from the Del Gap.

Phoenix Performance is in Palm, PA. From Northern NJ, it's out Route 78West. Really a nice drive, though I recommend not scheduling during rush hour.

The work performed, customer service and their knowledge of Corvettes was well worth the ride. Would not take my Corvette anywhere else, after my positive experience.

Hey guys.... I've been repairing ALL years of corvettes for about 20 years now and EVERY suspension job I've ever done has gone to FRED'S in Briarcliff new york. It's really close to our shop and Fred himself is a real pleasure to deal with.

He does the C5 & C6 BUMP STEER kit alignments, all years of corvette independent suspensions, PLUSS Freddy raced Vettes at one time so typically, he'll give you a more aggressive alignment if you ask for it. The factory specs are kinda lame and he can set the car up for any type of driving or racing you wanna do.

Give Freddy a call....

Located in Palm PA Kurt and his team are great. Kurt even though the general manager of the shop will be right out there working on your car during the week and then working with a race team on the weekend. I cant see anyone knowing more about vette suspension then these guys.

I know it is not a close drive (I actually hate the trip), but to know that my car is being worked on by the people that work on the National and Northeast winners in SCCA makes it worth it.

BTW - John Heinricy - Direct of Performance Parts for GM goes to Phoenix - he could go anywhere, but there must be a reason he goes to Phoenix - maybe it is because they helped him win 2004 & 2005 National SCCA Championships.
