Default Newbie!

Mornin' All!!

I'm new to the Corvette family and this forum. I've been visiting the C6 General Forum since Sept 06 when I placed the order for my new 2007 Vette Coupe. I didn't realize until recently that there was a Northeast section to this forum.

I've always dreamed of owning my own Vette. Never did I think this dream would come true. Well, it did.

I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! OMG! I can't wait for the weather to break so I can take some nice long drives with it and play hookie from work to enjoy it.

My dream car;

2007 Le Mans Blue Corvette Coupe (built 1/10/2007 delivered and picked up 1/15/2007)
2LT
Transparent roof
Chrome wheels
Ebony interior
Z51

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and hope to get to meet a bunch of you on some cruises or a corvette gatherings.

Rob

Welcome to the forum!!!

By next month, you'll start to see regular cruises being setup, we do stuff almost every weekend in the tri state area once the weather is good. You'll have a ton of fun with us, I guarantee.

Where are you located?

Hey Rob welcome to the asylum - you will have a blast here. Where do you live?

There is an event almost every weekend. I haven't gone thru the spring or summer with these guys yet but I am sure it will be just as much if not more of a blast than the fall and winter.

Welcome and enjoy your new baby!!

Hello Rob, and welcome to an entertaining and useful place. Sometimes we're a little too entertaining for our own good, but you'll figure that out as you go along.

Hey Bob!

I was at that event on Main St in Somerville! Every Friday night during the summer they have a car show. I remember there was one Friday there was a bunch of Vettes in front of the court house. I believe there was a contest. Anyway, my wife and I had just finished dinner at a Thai restaurant in town and we were looking for a VERY long time. (She was brousing, I was gawking and drooling... )

It's funny because I had been saying to my wife for the past few months before seeing all the Vettes that day that I really wanted to get one. I remember trying to decide if I wanted an older Sting Ray or Stingray. I love the styling of the older Vettes. It reminds me of my uncles Vette that he had when I was a kid growing up in the early '70's. Anyway, I decided to go with a newer vette.

Yeah, I would love to get together for a few one night at Hoolihans or wherever. This weekend isn't good for me.

I did not grow up in the Somerville area. I grew up on North Jersey. 1st bergen County, then later on in Passaic County.

What about you?

That was the night we were there and funny we ate at the Thai restaurant - it must have been destiny for you

Good Old Bergin county - I lived in Wyckoff for a while. Never lived in Somerville, but lived in Neshanic Station and knew plenty of people from Somerville.

ECS is located in the beautiful country side of Cream Ridge, NJ.

ECS is surrounded by corn fields and plenty of long twisted roads to test your car suspension. While you wait for your car to be service by ECS's top notch mechanics feel free to use the day loaner car and head over to the golf course for a round of 18 (remember its a BYOB golf course). You can also take the SO to the Cream Ridge Winery and taste some of the best wine made in NJ. Want more thrills there is Great Adventure right around the corner or the New Egypt Speedway if you want to see some dirt (actually it is clay) slinging racing.
